Odd definition of safety. It's not really about the rule of law. It's about demonstrating that we, as a people and as a nation, are better than that. Or not. I think the wingnuts don't want to be better than that. They are still at the juvenile level of mental development when, in order to feel good about themselves, they need to be assholes.
