No We Can’t!

– posted by thehim

As always, if you want to put your finger on the pulse of wingnuttia, the Sound Politics Public Blog is where you need to be. Legendary loony ‘JeffB’ gives us the lay of fantasyland:

President Obama is already over $3 Trillion in new spending.

Um, no he’s not. That’s the figure that a Republican Congressman said the stimulus would cost if its spending is continued beyond next year.

The numbers are staggering.

So is the mess Bush left us in.

We are looking at about $25K per taxpayer.

Wingnut nation right now is like a guy who gets $50,000 in debt, then burns down his double-wide because he tried to deep fry an un-thawed turkey in his bathtub, then gets pissed because his wife takes over the family budget and tries to spend more money so that his kids don’t have to sleep on the sidewalk.

Even if we soaked the evil rich, by taking 100% of everything made by those earning $500K or more a year, we’d only net about $1.3 Trillion.

Then how come we’re well on our way to spending that much in Iraq?

Nothing compared to Obama’s lavish spending, and he has not even begun yet with Socialized Healthcare and TARP II.

Socialized healthcare certainly works in Europe, but in all honesty, it might not work here if we have to provide free mental health treatment to all these whackadoodles.

And what about the tens of trillions involved in Social Security as the childish Baby Boomers demand their right to retire.

Lazy fuckers! Why can’t you work until you’re dead like the rest of the third world?

It’s clearly a crazy train of the majority.

Oh, there’s a crazy train here alright.

So what can you do?

We can laugh our ass off at how fucking stupid you are. Can you help us?

Scale back.

Absolutely…

The whole ridiculous scheme depends on tax revenue.

I think this qualifies as a perceptive insight for JeffB. It’s a sliding scale.

They can’t take what you don’t make.

I’m loving where this is going.

And that will put even more pressure on the lower income tiers where the Obama plans call for lots of handouts.

For years, I’ve liked to challenge righties who complain about welfare handouts by asking why they don’t just go on welfare and food stamps themselves and sit around all day if it’s such a sweet deal. None ever take me up on it, but it appears that JeffB is breaking down that barrier. Good for him.

President Obama is banking on the productive to finance his grand schemes.

President Bush did the same thing, except that he believed that folks on Wall Street were the productive ones. He was incorrect.

And simultaneously the productive are vilified as being ultra-rich or somehow undeserving of the fruits of their hard work.

Uhh no, the productive are very rarely the ultra-rich. And the people who work the hardest in this country are almost never the people who become extraordinarily wealthy. The average blue collar worker in this country works more in a week than Paris Hilton will in her entire life. Yet JeffB will scream till he’s blue in the face if someone says that our society will function better if Paris Hilton has to pay a bigger share of her income in taxes.

So give President Obama what we wants. Less.

Great Freudian slip there…

Remember $4/gallon gas?

Please don’t tell me that was Bill Clinton’s fault.

What happened? A lot less driving.

Wow! Two perceptive insights in one post? You go, girl!

President Obama’s plan is the oil speculation bubble of gigantic government.

Yes, and it will succeed or fail based upon whether or not the things that the stimulus spends money on provides a return on that investment. So why don’t we talk about the specifics of the stimulus rather than making bullshit arguments that ignore the reality of how economies actually work?

But it’s a ponzi scheme that all depends on the artificially high price of government value.

I’d be willing to bet that there’s a very strong correlation between a person’s eagerness to describe government programs as ponzi schemes and that person’s likelihood to get ripped off by an actual ponzi scheme.

You can bring down that price.

Banana Republic, here we come!

Just take the simple steps to trim up everything.

Mow your lawn, Cletus!

This is easy for the productive.

I have some very serious doubts that you’re in that category.

Wife working for the second income? Maybe it’s time to spend a little more time with kids.

If JeffB really this stupid? (Yes, that’s a rhetorical question) When unemployment is at high levels, all that means is that a different person will take that job. Although on the bright side, with mom home to help the kids with their homework, they might not grow up to be as big of a dumbass as their father.

Vacationing all over the world? Maybe it’s time to check out the Olympic peninsula.

That will also help our economy, Einstein.

Spendy $100 plus Hi-Def cable package? Dust off the board games.

You could play Monopoly, but instead of starting with $1775 like you’re supposed to, you can start with no money and see how well the game works.

There’s a trillion ways to save and put in your protest vote for the spending insanity.

You’ve come up with the dumbest one.

We are all going to be Swedish.

As someone who has lived in Scandanavia, I’m not worried.

I wouldn’t mind being Swedish for awhile. Beats living in a country full of fools and idiots.

By the way, Rush has another set of testicles for his collection. Cantor is backing off his Sunday ramble against the Hutt.

  2. EvergreenRailfan Says:

Worse, Rush got the RNC Chair to back off. Rush feels he is a God, Steele is only the chair of the Committee. I wonder how much power Steele has, I mean, can he tell Republican Members of Congress to stay away from Rush? I mean, can he cut the money off to those who do go on Rush’s show?

By the way, Rush has another set of testicles for his collection.

Collecting testicles from the leadership of the GOP is like collecting hair samples from Hare Krishnas.

  4. YLB Says:

as big of a dumbass as their father.

Poor JeffB, he became a right winger because of his dumbass dad who is/was a Dem.

But he will never admit that the fruit didn’t fall all that far from the tree.
